We don’t always have the time or money to visit our massage therapist on a regular basis. Self massage techniques using therapeutic balls can be a great addition to your yoga practice by providing a therapeutic self massage for your entire body.
In this 2.5hr workshop led by Josie O’Rourke, you will learn various rolling and massaging techniques, including ways to release patterns of tension, activate better circulation throughout your body and discover an excellent way to take care of tangled muscles while working on those deep tissues. In leaving this workshop you feel both energised and relaxed from head to toe!

Josiane O’Rourke has been practicing yoga since 2008. It came into her life slowly, as she was attending one class per week ‘’in between meetings’’ when her busy schedule in the visual effects industry allowed for it. But it did not take long for her to feel the benefits of reconnecting with body and breath, and soon after she decided to dedicate more time to yoga. In 2010, she completed her yoga teacher training in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga in Montreal, Canada, where she is originally from. Through teaching and practicing yoga, Josiane sees every day the benefits that this discipline brings to people committed to leading active lives.
Since 2012, Josiane has been teaching SUP yoga (a yoga practice on water done with large paddle boards). She has guided yoga retreats in Costa Rica and Mexico, and collaborated on major yoga events like Wanderlust in Mont-Tremblant in 2013 and the Yocomo festival in 2014 and 2015. More recently, in 2014, Josiane began studying Yoga Thai massage at the Lotus Palm school, which led her to get a level 4 accreditation (incl 250 hours of practice).
When Josiane is not practicing yoga on solid ground or on water, she enjoys writing and spending time with her loved ones, in nature, travelling, hiking, or doing all this at once!
