Main classes for 2015
Level 1/2 – Mixed
Choose from any one of our 60, 75 or 90 minute General Level 1/2 classes for a practise that emphasises alignment, construction and expression of poses. It Is suitable for students who have completed a beginners series and are looking to gain confidence before joining the stronger mixed level classes. It’s also suitable for the experienced student who wishes to refresh their pose knowledge. This class is technical, challenging and informative, and will be tempered with some light hearted fun.
Level 2 – Mixed
For students with previous yoga experience. This class covers the basics as well as going deeper into alignment and philosophy in a fun, playful environment. Some intermediate postures are explored but will be offered in stages for students of all levels.
Beginners/Basics (Level 1)
This is the best place to start if you’re new to yoga or new to Urban Yoga. It’s a great class for those who want to explore the basics thoroughly. You will learn yoga fundamentals while increasing strength and flexibility. 60 minutes.

Pregnancy Yoga – open level COURSE
Pregnancy yoga is the perfect exercise for pregnant women. Classes aim to provide women with asana (postures) to stretch, tone, create space and strengthen their bodies during their pregnancy. Breathing and relaxation techniques empower women in preparation for labour, as well as help to deepen their connection to their growing baby. By using the tools of yoga, focus is given to the magic of women’s bodies, and the innate power that all women possess to have a positive birth and pregnancy. Read More about the course

Classes that we may bring back later in 2014
Intermediate (Level 2/3)
This class is for yogis who have been practicing 2-3 times per week consistently for at least 6-12 months and who are existing Urban Yoga students. Practitioners must be familiar with basic Anusara Universal Principles of Alignment and have a home practice. This class offers lots of exploration of intermediate postures as well as a more dynamic flow, deeper breathwork and meditation. Please note this is not a drop-in class.
On HOLD until August 2015. In the meantime, consider coming along to the weekend workshops that will be on offer throughout the year.
Meditation
Peter offers a guided meditation, exploring mindfulness and embodied presence from the perspective of a non-judgmental, curious awareness. Themes include: self-kindness, deepening stillness, knowing the patterns of the heart/mind. The meditation will be followed by a short talk and the opportunity for dialogue and discussion.
Corporate Yoga – This is a bespoke class for a specific group of people. It is not open to the public. Please get in touch if you would like to organise a session for your group. See the Corporate Yoga page for more details.
Recovery Session – This class is for anyone who trained, raced or partied hard on the weekend. Ideal for those with little yoga experience but who want to work on flexibility, coordination and fluid movement. Perfect for beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. 45 minutes. This class is not offered on the current timetable.
