Each day will offer deep, methodical asana practices themed with stories and characters from India’s rich mythic past, plus meditation, mantra, music and philosophy to explore the deeper layers of our being and highlight the relevance and gift of yoga ‘in’ and ‘as’ our everyday lives.
Friday 8th May ~ 6:00pm-8:30pm
Saturday 9th May ~ 9:00am-12:00pm & 2:00pm-4:00pm
Sunday 10th May ~ 9:00am-12:00pm & 2:00pm-4:00pm
Deep folds and hip openers embellished with story, sweat, sweetness and music dedicated to the wild one, Krishna – that dark, loving, attractive force at the center of our heart, inviting us to cultivate a deeper sense patience, depth and presence in our practices and lives.
Cultivating a deeper connection to our pranic body through our committed efforts in standing poses and pranayama. This Shiva themed vinyasa practice will support the deeper right-handed’ tantric practices of working with the breath, mind and sound. Shiva is the invitation to honour the totality of who we are, both the light and the dark and to stand tall, clear, honest, vulnerable and ready to engage whole heartedly with every single moment. The afternoon will be one of exploration and play, of voice and mantra.
Courage. Humility. Work. Play. A morning of mythic asana, a full spectrum flow including meditation and music dedicated to Lord Hanuman and the epic story of the Ramayana. No other icon in Hinduism represents the Yogi as potently as Hanuman does. He is the embodiment all virtues we endeavour to cultivate both on and off the mat. Hanuman’s journey is our own journey – The path of the courageous heart.
Finishing on a sweet note, the final workshop session will conclude with Kirtan and stories of mythic India.
This workshop is limited to 20 spaces.

For over a decade and a half, Octavio Salvado has been wholeheartedly committed to the evolutionary path of yoga. Working with the themes of dedication, insight and devotion, he seeks to recognise and help unfold the innate power and potential in all of his students and help them find greater freedom in their practices and lives.
Recognising the merit and beauty of an integrated approach to yoga, Octavio teaches from both a classical and tantric perspective. He believes that the paths of both discipline and liberation through joyful engagement are key ingredients in moving beyond habitual patterns of ordinary consciousness and creating more meaning in our lives.
Holding a deep love and respect for the practice, Octavio acknowledges with gratitude the grace of his teachers who have shared their light and wisdom with him over the years. He teaches deep, integrative powerful yet playful classes. A style he refers to as ‘Conscious Vinyasa’, which combine strong, intelligent and creative vinyasa sequences, key-pose breakdowns infused with mythological story-telling, devotional music, mantra, meditation and pranayama.
Octavio has been living and teaching here in Bali for the last two and a half years and is the co-founder and owner of the soon to open Yoga studio and training center – THE PRACTICE in Canggu, South Bali. It is his joy and honour to teach, study and share Yoga in the world.
