In this 3hr special Valentine’s Day Workshop facilitated by Thai Massage Therapist and senior Urban Yoga teacher Josiane O’Rourke, your will learn how to receive, and how to give a Yoga Thai massage by using simple but efficient movements.
Yoga Thai Massage is an ancient tradition that originated from the migration of the Buddhist monks in Thailand approximately 2500 years ago. This technique is similar to yoga: it is practiced on a floor mat and has many wonderful benefits for your health. It combines a mindful mix therapeutic touch, stretching, energetic work and meditation.
Do not worry: you do not need to be a professional massage therapist to give a really good massage! This workshop experience is open to all levels of yoga practitioner. The range of movement and flexibility of everyone participating is taken into account.[*]
Come along with a friend, family member or partner, or let us find you another yogi who is attending to work with.
Limited to 14 students, booking essential.

Thai Massage Workshop
17th February, 2018
Josiane O’Rourke is both a dedicated yoga teacher, and passionate Thai massage therapist.
Through the application and practice of both traditions, Josiane sees every day the benefits that these two disciplines bring to people who are committed to leading active lives with vibrant health.
In seeking out further ways to assist people in their movement practice, Josiane studied Thai Massage at the Lotus Palm school, attaining a level 4 accreditation, including 250 hours of practice in 2014.
By furthering her studies, Josiane has discovered a complimentary tool kit to support the practice of yoga, continuing her aim of fostering vital health and self-care; the power of the therapeutic touch, the healing principles of Ayurveda, and also the importance of “metta”, or compassion in many aspects of her life.
Most recently, Josiane has completed Yoga Tune Up Therapy Ball® training in Montreal, Canada and is a focused practice that applies highly conscious corrective movements and self-massage myofascial release techniques using therapy balls.
By sharing her many passions, Josiane strives to promote wellness around her and hopes it will spread!
