For Emma, yoga is an act of self-care. The practice of yoga has empowered her to better understand herself and take charge of her own physical and mental well-being. She comes to the mat, both in her personal practice and as a teacher, with the intention to nurture. Encouraging all students to find joy in their practice with classes that are accessible, while challenging and fun.
Emma took her first yoga class in 2006 and a passion for a regular practice developed after facing some health issues. Yoga became an integral part of her path back to health and continues to help her find balance during fluctuations in physical and mental wellness. Yoga can be an invaluable tool for living that she wants to share this with her students. Believing that regularly taking time out to care for yourself is essential to overall well-being and fostering a positive relationship with yourself.
Emma recently completed her 200hr certification in Auckland with Jayayoga and has since completed her Yin Yoga certification with Jo Phee and Prenatal Yoga training with Bliss Baby.
Urban Yoga is thrilled to welcome Emma to its teaching community.
