Christa Lawlor

Christa entered a yoga studio for the first time in 2006 for a good stretch, but through her years of practice has found much more than that – a greater sense of perspective, peace and acceptance through the ebbs and flows of life.

Her classes focus on mindful and intelligent movement of the body and playful sequencing.  She takes a light-hearted approach in her teaching and strives to create an environment in which each student feels safe to explore the uniqueness of his/her body, mind, and spirit.

Christa is a Registered Yoga Teacher at the 200-hour level, and has completed additional training in anatomy and physiology. In her own practice, she has explored Vinyasa, Anusara, Yin, Hot, and Ashtanga styles of yoga, and draws on these influences in her teaching.

Christa is grateful to her teachers Claire Szabo-Cassella, Lou Cassella, Kelly Fisher, Katie Lane, and Simon Borg-Olivier – each of whom has imparted valuable threads of knowledge and wisdom that she continues to explore and weave into her own authentic style of teaching.

Off the mat, Christa works as a Communications Consultant.  Along with yoga, the things she enjoys most are weekend hikes and bike rides with her partner, a good laugh with friends, and learning new things.
